The 5TH YMGDS

Last year, I was looking forward in attending the 4th Young Multimedia and Graphic Designer Summit held in DLSU.(yearly event) however
workloads got the best of me so I swore to be in 5th one. That is why I felt surprised and honored to be invited as one of the guest speakers on this years YMGDS. Not only that but
I'm also tagging along with some of the Philippines renowned artists which includes, Valerie Chua, Katrina Pallon, Dan Matutina
and Nina Sandejas.

The event was held last saturday, March 10 in DLSU's Yuchengco Hall with Katrina Palon and me in the first half.
As expected, the place was crowded and full of anticipation as Ms. Kat Pallon discussed the essence of  "Why you shouldn't be an artist".
She provided insights on visual art directions and showcased top illustrations on the traditional field especially painting.

If you have attended my past seminars in Mapua and Assumption then this one is no different :) with a few added humor and tips
on the vector field and freelancing.

One of the speakers that I look forward to hear was Ms. Valerie Chua (Vinyl Rain). though I attended her "Backyards of the Universe" exhibit, I never got the chance to talk to her(Yes Fanboy here too) so i was really glad to have finally met her on the summit.
During Val's talk, she showed the transitional growth of her art from 2008 to present and yes the crowd was blewn away.
She is the real deal: Witty, Charming and talented. Her art is very dynamic and versatile, from pencils, acrylics and watercolor.

Oh and lets not forget sir Dan Matutina, :D whenever he steps on the floor you know its a sure fire entertainment and learning.
from turon to art inspirations, He's the man! If you attended GM 11 then his talk is similar with a few additional words of wisdom and humor :)

Sadly I had to go (Meeting with VXV admins) just before Nina Sandejas talk. I didn't manage to hear her part though I'm pretty sure it was awesome as she happens to be one of the Top music photographers in the country not to mention she bagged last years Globe Tatt Awards Artiste category.

All and all, this event was one of the most memorable for 2012, so I'm really grateful to everyone who attended and would like to congrats and give my deepest gratitude to Lian Castillo and the Rest of the Moomedia for keeping the tradition of inspiring the young artists of generation.Moooo! :) You rock guys!
